New Tech. I showed my breasts to a Swiss AI, and I’m thrilled about it
BRA A journalist tested a custom-made bra from the Swiss startup Myne, which uses artificial intelligence to create styles perfectly tailored to each customer’s body type.
The process involves scanning the body with a smartphone in just a few minutes. The AI analyzes the images, compares them to a database of thousands of body scans, and generates the measurements needed to manufacture a personalized bra. The bras replace traditional metal underwires with flexible, silicone-reinforced 3D-printed underwires to improve comfort.
After a two-week wait, the journalist received her bra and said she was very satisfied: it’s comfortable, doesn’t constrict her chest, and she sometimes forgets she’s even wearing it. Despite its high price (129 Swiss francs), she believes the investment is worth it, preferring a single, perfectly fitting bra to several uncomfortable ones. The startup also highlights a very low return rate (less than 1%), thanks to its customization technology.
