Ukrainian Victim to Address UN Rights Council.

Humiliation. Geneva, September 12, 2014. Iryna Dovgan, a Ukrainian woman who recently made international headlines after she was publicly abused by Russian-backed militants in eastern Ukraine, will be coming to Geneva next week to testify before the UN Human Rights Council, on 15 and 16 September 2014.
Invited by UN Watch, a Geneva-based human rights group accredited with the United Nations as a non-governmental observer, Ms. Dovgan will testify before the world forum about the arbitrary arrest, illegal detention, torture and public humiliation she suffered. In addition, she will discuss the situation of human rights in eastern Ukraine, one week before the council will hear a new report and debate the subject.
